Email errors occur when the receiving server returns to Fortix a code that indicates that the reason for the refusal is a permanent issue with that server or recipient address. The most common reason an address will bounce is that the address in question is not valid.
The second reason for email errors is that the recipient is “blocked” in Fortix. One of the reasons could be that they have opted out of receiving emails.
This article explains how to view the Outgoing Email Queue and see the error message explaining why the email was not sent.
Click Outgoing Email Queue in the sub Heading under COMMUNICATION. The Outgoing Email Queue page opens with a list of emails that has been attempted to be sent.
The address bar link is: /?email_queue

Filter the list view by clicking the down arrow in the ERROR column of the data view. Select Yes to display all the emails that were unsuccessfully delivered.

Only the emails that have not been delivered is displayed. The most common reason an address will bounce is that the address in question is not valid (Unhandled Domain). The second reason for email errors is that the recipient is “blocked” in Fortix. One of the reasons could be that they have opted out of receiving emails.
The FAILED ATTEMPTS column displays the number of time the system has tried to send this email.

Further action can be executed by selecting or deselecting all the displayed records. This is found on the left-hand side of the list view.

All the records on multiple pages can be selected or deselected.

Click the More Menu option for action on all of the selected records.
